Similar to my initial forum query, re: Manus P084, I am asking members to help narrow down the usage of Powell P090 (Morobe) as shown below between the dates of 11NO20 and 15JA26 (and later). I have a reasonable sampling of dates prior to and including 11NO20. Subsequently, the dateline becomes corrupted for reasons to be explained in a future PNG Calling article – screen grab of Excel spreadsheet shown below.
If any member has Morobe cover(s) with proving backstamps of the corrupted date line I would be interested in seeing them to aid my research.
The last two dated usages in my collection are 15JA26 (clearly struck) and ■9NO2
6 (must be 26 since the 1½d Hut was not issued until 26).
Any members have strikes up to the date of closure of Morobe or early usage at Salamaua?
