For those not familiar with the Hialeah Forgeries, here’s some more background information. Definitely an oddity and truly very very back-of-book!
A full sheet of the (in)famous ‘Hialeah Forgeries’ (that’s Hialeah, Florida USA – same location as the famous racetrack). These were produced by a ‘Juan Canoura’ (ebay seller know as ‘atdinvest’) and sold in the early 2000’s. The forgeries were done for almost all major early classics and promoted as the “Greatest Forgeries…ever offered…to be used as reference material…printed in Europe”. Based on seller feedback, many thousands were sold over the year or two he was active. They were printed on claimed A4 paper but are, in fact, on somewhat larger sheets. The paper quality is a bit rough – certainly NOT standard photocopy quality – interesting that the paper was rather out-of-the-ordinary. An interesting addition for ‘back-of-the-book’ material. (Keep in mind – A4 size sheet > cost of postage).
