      There are at least two 1898 Samarai covers addressed to PMS Box No. 127 GPO Brisbane. One is in Alan Grey’s collection and the other is with a respected dealer. I am looking for precise information for the letters PMS with the understanding that it is possibly a (Protestant/Presbyterian/?) Missionary Society but Internet searching has not provided me with an answer so far. Can someone solve this for me and provide a reference ?

      It has been drawn to my attention by a knowledgeable and respected auctioneer, that the letters are actually R.M.S. Could it be something to do with the Royal Mail Steamers (Steamships/Ships) ? This is more promising.
