Let’s all take a deep breath here. Yes, your comment was posted 3 days ago. I simply can’t answer your query on my own (which is a good point). I have passed in on to our web developer and am awaiting his reply – which I will post when I have more information.
My It skills are limited indeed and there is one person (yours truly) looking after…[Read more]

Here’s a similar question I posted 3 days ago that remains unanswered:
Some of the recent members’ posts refer to images but I am unable to see any. Did members neglect to follow the basic upload instructions? …or I am not able to see the entire post?
Sometimes when reviewing my initial post I note the appended/attached images are either cor…[Read more]

Richard Muller started the topic Fabulous BNG cover at auction in the forum PPS Members Forum 7 years, 6 months ago
This cover (sorry but scan cuts off portions of the cover) is coming up at the next Gartner auction. It’s a fabulous cover and I might bid (starting price is reasonable) but…..I have no reason not to assume it is anything but genuine. Call me very very picky but I would have wished the postmark tied the stamp to the cover. I do hope if any…[Read more]

I think this is one of the most intereting periods in Papua New Guinea postal history.
Not an easy task to get a good collection “Australia used in PNG”. -

The Melbourne group’s 25 August 17 display is exactly this subject, but all on cover.

The attached covers are the latest two to be added to the list.
Number 16 from Cavendish Auctions in 2016 and number 17 from the Corbitts Auction in 2017. -

This cover came up at the most recent Corbitts (UK) auction – sold for GBP300. Check out Jeff Marks original research article in PNG Calling, July-Aug last year, page 10. He reckons this is example 17 – and the mystery remains…..

Mr A J started the topic Red Wax Seals in the forum PPS Members Forum 7 years, 7 months ago
A number of red wax seals on the back of covers have emerged lately which interest me.
There are several GRANVILLE/BRITISH NEW GUINEA examples around.
I have a double ring circular seal MARBARE/BRITISH NEW GUINEA (with Crown centre) on a 1902 Tamata cover.
Who had these seals? On what basis were they used? -

Thanks for the attempt to upload.
The copies of the covers cannot be viewed since you’ve tried to upload a pdf I cannot access.
Can you convert it to a jpg to upload here?
